Qualifications
I have 6+ years experience in residential property management. My
qualifications from my previous experiences include leasing/sales,
tenant account resolutions, collections/evictions, management of
conventional and Section 8 properties. Customer service and tenant
relations were a key part of my experience. I assisted the Vice
President in supervising on-site staff, company training, meeting
agendas and many other aspects of the every day activity that takes
place with property management.
Business Experience
I most recently worked for Seldin Company as a Property
Specialist. I have experience in accounting with Timberline software,
leasing/sales, collections and working with attorneys on evictions from
residential properties. A good portion of my job was resident relations
and taking customer service phone calls from residents. I have worked
well on my own and in a team setting. I was involved in company
training as we changed programs or brought in new software. I prepared
scheduling for training sessions or prepared my own schedule and went
out to each property to install or teach on-site staff new programs.
All my positions involved scheduling vendors and maintenance for
apartment turn-overs and leasing apartments or referring customers to
the best suited property for them based on information they provided.
Furthermore, I was able to exceed well and learn quickly at Seldin
Company. I started as a leasing agent and was promoted to property
manager of a conventional property with three locations within 3 months
of my hire date. Next I managed a Section 8 property where the
residents were assisted with housing vouchers. I was responsible for
all compliance paperwork associated with this and carried a relationship
with Omaha Housing Authority and Douglas County Housing Authority to
help place their clients in need of housing. I then became a floating
manager, assisting on-site staff with my focus on learning the entire
portfolio. Finally, the Property Specialist position was created for me
where I assisted upper management in supervision of staff, was given
responsibility of special projects from the Vice President while still
working on collections/evictions for a portfolio of approx. 1900 units
and often working on-site with leasing and on-site management staff.
I was a member of the Process Improvement Team and
Senior Management Team at Seldin Company.
Education/Achievements: I have attended 2 Dale Carnegie Sales Courses
and one Dale Carnegie leadership course.
The level of achievements, promotions, and pay increases throughout the
experience I had Seldin Company.
